July 29, 2004 CRS Engineering and Design Consultants, Inc. is in various stages of development on projects with Giattina Fisher Aycock Architects, Inc. at The Children’s Hospital of Alabama. According to John Gill, PE, principal on the projects, CRS has completed construction documents for a 22,000-square foot tenant fit-out for the hospital’s Information Systems group. The IS offices are in the recently completed deck expansion and office building between 16 and 17 Street and 4 and 5 Avenue South. CRS provided lighting design and electrical engineering design for office space and classrooms for the group and the data center for the hospital. The firm also provided construction drawings for the renovation of the clinic mall waiting area in the main hospital. The project includes lighting design and the expansion of cable TV systems for the 300-square foot area. J. D. Hornbuckle is the project manager for CRS. CRS Engineering and Design Consultants is a 28-year old firm based in Birmingham that specializes in commercial, healthcare, institutional and religious buildings. CRS performs services in electrical engineering, plumbing engineering, fire protection engineering, mechanical and HVAC engineering, lighting design, telecommunication design and security systems design. The firm also has a Huntsville office. |
