West Carolina Student Housing

CRS Engineering and Design Consultants, Inc. is completing design on a seven building student housing complex for Capstone Development at Western Carolina University in Cullowhee, North Carolina.
Construction on the 80,000-square foot 252 bed complex is scheduled for completion by September 2004.
Included in the project are five, two story, dormitories for use by Greek societies, a multi-organizational building, and a one story commons building.
According to Ken Cater, PE, president of CRS, company professionals on the project include O. Wade Parker, project manager; Jason Blocker, electrical engineering; Darrell Gill, mechanical engineering; Charles Foshee, plumbing design, and Richard Stehr, fire protection engineering.
Design Collective, Incorporated, of Baltimore, Md. is the architectural firm.
CRS Engineering and Design Consultants is a 26-year old firm based in Birmingham that specializes in commercial, healthcare, institutional and religious buildings. CRS performs services in electrical engineering, plumbing engineering, fire protection engineering, mechanical and HVAC engineering, lighting design, telecommunication design and security systems design.
The firm also has an office in Huntsville and Jackson, Mississippi.
