St. Paul’s Catholic Cathedral

          Birmingham, Ala.-CRS Engineering and Design Consultants, Inc. is completing design documents for the Family Life Center at the historic St. Paul’s Catholic Cathedral in downtown Birmingham.

          The former school building of the 122-year old parish is being converted to a three story Family Life Center, according to John W. Gill, L.C., P. E., principal in charge and project manager for CRS.

          The 25,000-square foot three story building will include Sunday School classrooms, a multi-purpose gathering room, a kitchen, and a banquet and reception hall.

          Other CRS professionals on the project include Jason Toves, mechanical engineering; Greg Mullinax, electrical engineering; Charles Foshee, plumbing design; Richard Stehr, PE, fire protection design; Robert Mills, project coordinator and lighting design.

          CRS Engineering and Design Consultants is a 29-year old firm based in Birmingham that specializes in commercial, healthcare, institutional and religious buildings. CRS performs services in electrical engineering, plumbing engineering, fire protection engineering, mechanical and HVAC engineering, lighting design, telecommunication design and security systems design.

          The firm also has a Huntsville, Ala. office.
