The Children’s Hospital

CRS Engineering and Design Consultants, Inc. currently has several projects underway at The Children’s Hospital of Alabama, according to John Gill, PE, principal in charge and lighting designer for CRS.
The engineering firm is providing electrical engineering design and lighting design for a 3,000-square-foot cafeteria renovation project in the main hospital and a new 12,000-square-foot data center in the Park Place Parking Deck and electrical engineering for a 10,000-square-foot addition to the Hematology Oncology Clinic.
According to project manager and electrical engineering designer J. D. Hornbuckle, the cafeteria renovation includes the serving line and indoor and outdoor dining areas. The Hematology Oncology additions include infusion and exam rooms.
CRS Engineering and Design Consultants is a 26-year old firm based in Birmingham that specializes in commercial, healthcare, institutional and religious buildings. CRS performs services in electrical engineering, plumbing engineering, fire protection engineering, mechanical and HVAC engineering, lighting design, telecommunication design and security systems design.
The firm also has a Huntsville office.
