February 27, 2007 CRS Engineering and Design Consultants, Inc. has completed construction drawings for the new Eastwood Village. The retail center will surround the new 200,000-square foot Wal-Mart Super Center at the former Eastwood Mall location. According to John Gill, PE, principal in charge and project manager for CRS, site work has begun for the 164,000-square foot Village that will include four buildings. Construction is expected to be underway by the end of the year. CRS’ Sammy Dunn and Greg Mullinax, PE, are electrical engineering designers on the project. Dunn is also the lighting designer. Krumdieck A+1 is the project architectural firm and Nearen Construction is the general contractor. Eastwood Village is a project of MAP Development. CRS Engineering and Design Consultants is a 30-year old firm base in CRS Engineering and Design Consultants is a 30-year old firm based in Birmingham that specializes in commercial, healthcare, institutional and religious buildings. CRS performs services in electrical engineering, plumbing engineering, fire protection engineering, mechanical and HVAC engineering, lighting design, telecommunication design and security systems design. The firm also has a Huntsville office. |
