The Children’s Hospital of Alabama

CRS Engineering and Design Consultants, Inc. has recently completed construction documents for electrical engineering design for a 15,300-square foot addition to the Emergency Department at The Children’s Hospital of Alabama, according to John W. Gill, PE, principal in charge for CRS. The addition includes an expanded waiting area and seven new examination rooms.
According to J. D. Hornbuckle, CRS project manager, construction is expected to begin immediately. Giattina Fisher Aycock is the architectural firm and Brice Building Company is the general contractor.
CRS Engineering and Design Consultants is a 29-year old firm based in Birmingham that specializes in commercial, healthcare, institutional and religious buildings. CRS performs services in electrical engineering, plumbing engineering, fire protection engineering, mechanical and HVAC engineering, lighting design, telecommunication design and security systems design.
The firm also has a Huntsville office.
